Review of Tinkerbell Half Marathon by Karleen Harp

This was a fun race to do as a girls weekend away. The Expo was great (though no SWAG in the bags – just the shirt). There was a good variety of vendors, and many offered freebies. Loved the chips attached to the bib!! Start line was easy & organized – I loved how they set off fireworks during National Anthem (it was still dark).

The course inside the parks was fun with characters everywhere. Plan extra time if you want to stop for pictures with them, the lines were long. Not a PR course for that reason only. The course was super flat aside from some bridges. Outside the parks, the course was pretty boring honestly. It was mostly residential neighborhoods, and not many bands (mostly cheer leading squads). I was also disappointed it didn’t go through Angels stadium like the Disneyland Half does.

The finish line was pretty anti-climactic – no live band or anything. You just kind of end up in Downtown Disney. It was a fun event to do with friends and just have fun.
