Review of Tinkerbell Half Marathon by jollene.levid

The event was well-organized, and highlights include a pre-race stage, fireworks, and the first 4 miles of the route. The first 4 miles wove through Disneyland and California Adventure, allowing you to see the park’s rides, famous attractions, and even stop to take pictures with characters in costume. However, through miles 8-10, arguably the harder miles of the race, you’re running through empty residential suburban streets with very little to see. The finish line was anti-climactic too; afterwards you’re herded into a huge parking lot trying to find an exit or any type of post-race activity. I was glad to be a part of the inaugural race, but hope another route can be woven into this half for it’s second go-around!
