I really have nothing to compare this to, as it is my first half marathon. That said, it was very well organized, except for the fact that they ran out of water cups at around mile 8 and we started late, but that didn’t really bother me. I was glad that my husband and I had Camelbaks on as it was a hot day and since we walked the whole thing, the water tables toward the end were closing up. It was wonderful to have all the volunteers (mostly kids) cheering us on. I did not train for this and completed it faster then I thought I would. It was a pretty flat course, aside from a few hills around the residential area and gentle slopes going towards the finish. I do wish the beer garden was open later, as when we crossed the finish line, it was closed. I do have to say though, the medal is amazing and so is the tech t-shirt they give out. Expo was great as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is starting out and I will be doing this again. 🙂
