The course was good with nice views. My wave was not too congested with walkers. The tech shirts ran super small. I was sad to see only one medic station around mile 5 and then never again. Several runners were on the side of the road with cramps and what not with no support in site. The water stations were very empty starting on mile 7. They ran out of some of the post race food which I thought was weird. If a set amount of people registered then why not have enough for everyone. They gave out shot blocks for the half marathon between mile 10 and 11 which seemed stupid. Why have it so late in the race? I bring by own gel so it wasn’t and issue for me but it was a weird place to have them. The shuttle situation to leave was an absolute nightmare and took forever. I was surprised they did not have any vendors or food trucks post race since the Long Beach Marathon was filled with them.
Nice view and a flat (mostly) fast course but the lack of essentials made the whole experience just blah.
