This was my 1st time doing HB. It was my final race for the Beach Cities Challenge. The expo was small, but check-in went quickly. Tech shirts ran very small, but I was able to exchange for a larger size. I did not enjoy traffic on the way home from Expo, but it was better than giving up a Sat. Weather was great for the race. Bathrooms were nice to use in the hotel. The course was ok, plenty of fluids. Post race was crowded, with a very long line for Beach Citites meadal. Even longer long line for shuttles back to parking. My worst issue was the amount of walkers in early corrals. This is an issue with every race, but seemed excessive at this couse. It is very frustrating when you are trying to PR to have to run around groups of people 3-4 wide. All in all a good race, but once was enough for me.
