I cant find one negative thing about this race. I guess tech shirts would have been nice but for a 5k that rarely happens and I did not expect it.
Bib pickup was only for the morning of the race. It was a smaller type run with about 750 people. I was there early and whizzed right through the bib and t shirt line with plenty of time to warmup and check some of the course out. It was an easy out and back course for both the 5/10k. Some minor little hill bumps made this course at lake murray not completely flat but the “bumps” were easy and quick to tackle. There were two aid stations out on the course and plenty of volunteers.
We received an awesome scary pumpkin medal for all finishers plus plenty of post race snacks. (water, bananas, muffins, coffee etc) There was a costume contest, face painting and fun music to keep the crowd entertained.
Highly recommend! Bring out the little ones for the kids race too!
