The packet pickup was quick and easy but originally the pickup times on a Friday night were only 10-6. I was grateful that they extended them till 8pm because at the race the line was absolutely ridiculous and only had a few people working the table.
We didn’t get to cross the start line till nearly 10 am and even after we finished the 5K there were still people waiting to start the race. The course was nice but not very organized. There was no direction between the walkers and runner and also on the loop back there were people weaving around each other. It was nice to run through the park though and not have to deal with blocking traffic.
I was disappointed that there wasn’t a “FINISH” line but rather a bunch of people just standing near the end – but there was no water when we finished.
I was a little bummed that there were no vendors or anything walk around and interact with. We got there early and had to stand around for over an hour and just people watch.
It was a great idea and was still a good time but I wished for a little more.
