This is an obstacle event like no other! I ran it in both 2011 and 2012. I highly recommend arriving early as parking became more of a nightmare for later waves, I ran at 9 both years. They try to pump you up for the prerace, but unless you are in the start line you will be unaware there is anything going on. The course is a blast! Bringing in snow, inner tubes to slide down hills in and the “Worlds largest inflatable waterside” was a blast! Only downside to the 2012 course was seeing how many people were being treated for injuries going down the very slippery fire pole. Many being treated on the course for ankle injuries. Course itself is fairly flat and compact. Post race is great, many vendors. I spent time after the 2012 race in the Millers64 area playing Jenga with giant blocks and other games with strangers that became friends. I did think it was a joke that at the finish they had a photo area that we stood in line for without knowing it was to pay for a photo. If I run this again I will worry less about my time and stay with friends and enjoy the obstacles.
