THe course for the first 10 miles is stunning along the coast and back bay.After that it turned into the worst half marathon I have ever run. Running along the freeway and on a major street with the exhaust fumes was difficult breathing, avoiding cars in the parking lots of two major shopping centers and running along a street with gang detail police cars at every intersection was un-nerving. Probably the worst was the mile markers from mile 16 to mile 21 were off by up to 1/4 mile and the run along the banks of the concrete river were hot and dangerous with the on coming bicyles that were speeding without regard for the runners. The last three miles returned to neighborhood streets and was not too bad, but the trauma of the previous 10 miles was too much to bear. If you run this, run the half and enjoy a great morning.
