The course used to be a lot more beautiful when it went around the back bay. This was one of the biggest bonuses as it was a scenic course. Now, it mainly just winds through neighborhoods and that is a big downgrade, and although it may be fast, it’s pretty boring. A typical crowded start line as one finds in all marathons/halfs these days. Expo is pretty standard as well. The race requires shuttles to get to the start line now.
