This was my first Live Ultimate Run and it really didn’t disappoint. Very easy packet pick-up on race morning which meant I didn’t have to make 2 trips to Santa Monica. The course was fun, I understand this same course is used for other races which is fine.
The finish was also great although I didn’t realize most of the festival was down where the pier was. It was a little crowded but nothing too crazy. Overall a very fun race. Not sure if I’ll do it again due to the distance from home for only a 10k but I would recommend it to anybody. Very well organized race.
One thing I’d suggest for next year, working something out with Pacific Park for them to open an hour early (10am instead of 11am). I would have loved to take a ride on the Ferris Wheel or Coaster and get a picture with my medal on them.
