Packet pick up was easy, and quick. Corrals were organized, easy to get into, and well marked. Kept warm at Graumann’s theatre, and all was good. The course itself didn’t have many landmarks, beyond Hollywood and Highland/El Capitan/Graumann’s at the start – but then again, that’s the reality of Hollywood. Trade in your dreams of celebrities and gold-lined streets in for homeless people on the corners, medical marijuana dispensaries, and Scientology churches. Only in Los Angeles, right?! 🙂 I parked at the finish, with no glitches, and I spotted my car as I cruised through the finish chute. Maybe next year if the Hilton wants to be the host hotel, the race directors can negotiate free parking under 15 minutes for packet pickup. Just a far-fetched dream, but it would be sweet. Overall, couldn’t have asked for a better organized or smoother event.
