This was my first 50K and I sure picked a good one. Parking was easy. The signup was a mail in form not online, but I still remember how to mail things. I think there were only 600 people total running. The course was well laid out, the Aid Stations were well stocked, and the course overall is very challenging. Since it is in December and in the desert, the weather can be very hot, very cold, or anything in between. The day I ran we had this killer 20 MPH wind right in our faces as we tried to climb the hills on the second half. Wow, that wind kicked my butt. Be forewarned, the second half of this race is basically all up hill. So, you should make sure you do your hill training in beforehand. I can’t wait for next year.Awesome job OTHTC!
