I like this marathon for the obvious reasons…great scenery. And the fact I prefer trail running as opposed to the pounding of asphalt. This is a relatively small event but has a great “feel”. I would not recommend this race for a first marathon. The hills are no joke and it’s a tough run. But if you are looking for a challenge with some incredible scenery, this is a great race.
