This was definitely one of those no pressure races. Less than 1000 doing the half marathon race. Primarily a flat course.
Pre Race: Bib pickup on race day a big plus, since I lived an hour away. Lots of activity before the race.
The Course: Primarily flat. Lots of water stations. Photographers throughout. I was even able to do a jumping picture, which they captured at mile 11. I probably could’ve got a PR had I not fizzled out. I forgot my energy shots.
Post Race: Totally awesome. Lots of free food from various vendors. Ample seating area. Lots of activities to do after the race.
This was one of my favorite races!! It’s part of theMarathon in May medal.

This is an outstanding half marathon (with other distances available) that is nearly pancake flat and perfect for a PR. A great compliment to the bike tour that they put on.
PRE RACE:
Pre race festival – like the bike tour – was outstanding. Lots of stuff to see and do before you start racing.
COURSE:
Course is nearly flat all the way through and well stocked with aid stations every few miles (I think there were 4 on the half marathon – but maybe more). Great course for a PR or for your first half marathon.
POST RACE:
Lots of stuff to do and lots of goodies to be had from vendors all over the place. You know a post race is good when your family who comes to watch you race doesnt complain afterwards!
PCRF puts on a great bunch of races and is outstanding – I’ll definitely be back next year.

I did the bike ride and the course was great and the marshals even better. Every corner had a marshal with a flag telling you where to go and all of them were really friendly. THe only down side to this was there was no finish line or medals for the bike ride but after talking to one of the people at the info booth they plan to have both this year. Overall very well run for a first time bike ride and better than a few others that have been going on for years!!

Great race, for a great cause. Easy packet pick up, plenty of parking. Tech tee didn’t suck. First half of the course is a slight downhill, second half is a slight uphill. Runs through streets, bike paths, along the lake in Woodbridge, through Mason Regional Park, and back to the Spectrum. Aid stations well staffed and well stocked. Not much in the way of course support or spectators. Course is well marked.
Post race, there’s a TON of fun stuff set up for the whole family – food trucks, petting zoo, bouncy things for kids. There’s a VIP tent with beer and food, as well, for a small charge.
