Review

I Loved this race.

I have done a lot fo Disney races and for the first time it felt like they finally figured it out. The expo always seemed like a huge cluster and I felt like they could have planned it a lot better. to my surprise they did. The expo flowed nicely. Logistically they figured out how to move traffic through the building without a huge JAM.

The race was awesome. I had never run the course they had for this new race and it is by far the best one yet and coincidentally, this was my best 10K time ever.

Thanks Disney, keep it up.

Review

I think the course for this race earns a A++++. I ran the Neverland 5k with my 2 daughters who are not runners. The course is so fun and delightful that it feels like a party not a run. They shoot fireworks to start the race, the lights are on at Small World, the teacups are spinning, and cast members give you high-fives along the race. The medal is plastic which I find a bit disappointing – but the shirts, bibs, after race snacks are all top of the line. This was my 2nd Disney 5k and both were delightful experiences.
This is a great race for a beginning runner – as it is truly a “fun run”.
If you are a serious runner – be warned – there is no chip timing – and with so many walkers you will probably not get a PR on this 5k. But if you want to have a “magical race” this one will not disappoint!

Review

This was my first 10K i’ve ran, even though I’ve done many 5k’s and half marathons. It was well put together. Easy to check in and pick up your gear bags during this race. Everyone was friendly, cheering and encouraging from the beginning to the end. The volunteers and Cast Members were cheering us on as we ran by and giving hi fives too. Which always make races more fun. I had fun and took pictures along the run. I would do this one again. The costumes were amazing to see the other runners dressed up in. Maybe next time I’ll be more creative then just wearing the normal running gear.
