Naples Island Swims

Distance: 1 mile, 1000 meter, 200 meter, 3 mile, 500 meter

The memorial swim is for open water swimmers, triathletes, and people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. It will include professional athletes as well as newcomers. The event will 4 separate races. Swimmers can participate in as many events as they wish.

*1000-meter out-and-back open water swim along the shore at Alamitos Bay

*1-mile out-and-back swim around the inner canals of Naples Island

*3-mile complete circumnavigation swim around Naples Island

*100m Michele Fast Relays in the following divisions: mother + daughter, father + son, father + daughter, mother + son, husband + wife, couples, friends where each family member swims 50 meters each

The event is an open water swimming tribute to Michele Daschbach Fast who was killed by a mass murderer in a beauty salon in Seal Beach, Calfornia in October 2011. The event is a swim in support of her favorite charity, the SmileTrain.
