This race could not have went any better/smoother. A two day packet pick up, one for those on the island and another centrally located for those that are not. AS WELL as race day pickup. There were tons of vendors set out and most were giving out a ton of full size samples. I always enjoy that!
They had a countdown clock for the race and it started exactly on time. (nothing worse than a late start) The volunteers were awesome, and having two water stops were perfect.
This race gave nice bags, tech shirts, water bottles and a sweet metal. The race director was friendly and very hard working and I appreciate how hassle free everything was. I will 100% be back to run this race again for years to come!
Im just bummed it started raining and my kids were at home otherwise I hear they have a awesome post race party at a local restraunt/bar. Loved this race and all the competitors Valentine outfits!

I didn’t really enjoy the pre-race, there were a few snacks and water out, I didn’t enjoy the mic checks, and music was hardly played. I like that there was a organized stretch, even though I didn’t participate in the stretching. Packet pick up was simple and easy. I didn’t have any trouble with parking, but I also got to the park a little after 6 am for that reason.
The course was just like describe fast and flat which was great. Beautiful view the whole run and it was cool to see the locals out on the streets to cheer us on! I also thought the location of the run was great for families. My wife and three kids had play grounds, benches, and facilaties at their disposal.
The post-race wasn’t special for me. I’ve ran a handful of events and the finish line activities didn’t rank to high. I liked that the snacks, LOVED the medals, and the run “high” wasn’t ruined. I didn’t stay and enjoy the festivities, but I would have liked if there would have been more family friendly things.
Overall I really enjoyed the run, the pre and post stuff isn’t as important as the run to me. I would recommend this run to anyone, beginners to experts. Everyone I talked to thoroughly enjoyed the run and would do it again!
