Color Me Irish Run

The Color Me Irish run/walk is fun for of all shapes, sizes, speed and age. Whether you are a hard core racer or gym treadmill walker, this will be an incredible fun time celebrating the Irish in all of us! Wear a white shirt (or mostly white), and be ready to be splashed with the colors of the Irish flag as you run/walk with your friends and get yourself ready for the color cloud you run through at the finish line! This is not so much about the speed or endurance, but a celebration of color, life and being Irish for a day! At a every kilometer runners/walkers will be showered with a color from the Irish flag. The colors are natural and edible (dyed corn starch)! Plan to stay for the after party to eat some great Irish food, drink beer and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early! We have Irish music and dancers.

Review

Parking was easy but $10 to park. Beers were $10, when they said food….it’s carnival food, not food trucks or Irish food. There were not that many vendors or sponsors.
Along the course where the “dye” stations are, the volunteers go a little crazy with throwing the dye at you from 2 feet away. The course is very uneven and only 2 person wide, makes it very difficult for people running when you have a group walking side by side, you have to go off the trail and risk injury. My biggest recommendation is to wear sunglasses/hat and do NOT wear any music/phone devices. Also, bring lots of wet wipes to clean off after, they have nothing for you to clean off with.
