I was one of the winners of the complimentary registration by Racegrader.com. Racegrader.com notified me that I had won and ensured that I was in contact with Renegade Racing. I would also like to thank Renegade Racing for a a very easy registration process and overall problem free experience. I don’t have too much experience in these running events so my review may be limited. I made every effort to arrive early and was treated to a very pleasant race experience. I will absolutely run this race again. I may even try the 10k next time. Racegrader.com, I find that your website is very easy to navigate and will continue to use your site as my primary source of race information and updates. Once again, Racegrader.com thank you for the complimentary registration, you guys ROCK!!!!!

I really enjoyed this race. The course through the park was awesome and it was a super breezy run. The ground was wet in a few areas but nothing that looked slippery. A heard people complain about the water station locations because they were closer to mile 2 outside of the park before you enter Soak City. I always bring my own so it wasn’t an issue for me. I thought the waves were pretty well organized. I was in the 2nd wave and it seemed as if the majority of people in that wave could actually run that pace and I didst see and walkers in my wave. That was a really nice change. The course bottle necks in a couple spots but that was to be expected. The t-shirts were super cool and I actually bought an extra one. The quality was much better than most race shirts. The pie at the end was a nice treat and I really love the cool medal. The only thing I wish they would change is marking the front of the bibs. I understand why they did it but it would be nice if the put graffiti on the back of the bibs and not the front. I will defiantly run again next year.

1st time doing this fun run. Check in went quickly. I personally do not like marks on my bibs. This race gave 2 marks (shirt and coupons). It was fun running through the parks, but wet in some places (afraid to slip). TOO MANY Stollers. They need to have their own division. It sucks to get bashed on your heels! Park should open bathrooms inside for runners. Pie was a nice treat at finish. Cute Snoopy medal and nice comfy tshirt.

2013 Race went through the park which was nice and outside of the park. Areas through the park were narrow and did get congested. Many walkers and families, but overall a fun run. Packet pickup was easy. Swag bags were good. Post race was congested as expected, but well worth it. Kids run was completely in the park and was great. Exreme congestion at the end of the kids race while kids were getting their medals, but they were trying to make sure everyone received theirs before leaving the park. Great race for newbies, families, and small children.

Did this event in 2011 and 2012 with family. While there were complaints about the course not actually going through the Knotts park, I still felt this event was very well done. I plan on doing it again this year and I am excited about seeing the changes made to the course. Would love to see more of the Peanuts characters at the start and finish areas of the course. Great support along the course. Packet pick-up is easy to find and convenient as well as having race morning pick-up (which is difficult to do). A slice of pie at the finish line is great too!!

Pre race was very small. Many of the venders didn’t show up until almost race time. The race participants stood in time zones they didn’t belong in. I came in after the bathroom into the 8 minutes mile section, which is too fast for me. I was trying to move back and couldn’t, but am glad I didn’t because the people around me were all walking! It took about 5 minutes to just get into a jog. The course is very skinny at the beginning, so weaving around all the walkers was frustrating. The volunteers along the course were nice and enthusiastic. The post race was also very small, but the people in the booths were nice.

pre race – not that organized where the racers are suppose to face
course – not enough signs for directions and where to go
post race – the pie is a plus
overall – the medal looks really good. but can you tell the volunteers when cutting the chip from the shoes not to cut the shoelace. the volunteer cut my sons shoelace and almost on mine and my shoes are $140 🙂 thanks

course is boring, you run by Knotts, but not really through it, and in the 10k you do two loops of the second half of the race around a neighborhood. relatively flat at least and good food and such at the post race including slices of knotts boysenberry pie.
parking is very easy, basically at the start line.
no crowd issues since it is not a huge race
