Review
Did the race today. It was tough, but fun. Parking and registration were easy and smooth. The swim was awkward because the water was shallow for the first 500 yards with lots of underwater plant life. It was a fast swim though. The only thing I didn’t like during the swim was the first or second heat swimmers had yellow caps. I was in the third heat. Trying to spot the yellow buoys for directions was difficult with all the yellow caps. The bike was challenging. Part of the course had poor conditioned roads. The course hazards ( bumps on road) were marked well with bright neon orange tape. The run course was decent. Not too hilly. The post race had a pot luck which was great and they had lots of raffles prizes for racers. I did not win anything, but they had great stuff. Expo was nice too! Will do it again!

Review
This race is from the same people who do the LA Tri Series. They know what they’re doing… The event is well organized and has a great venue. The lake swim is a nice change from the cold Pacific Ocean. Winds can sometimes be a factor up in that area, so be prepared on the bike. The run is challenging but not too tough. The post race always has a nice vibe as a lot of people stick around for raffle and prizes. It’s a good (close to) end of season event.
