Embrace The Suck – Training Challenge

Use the code “RaceGrader” for 15% OFF registration!

Use our virtual challenge to prepare for your next 5K, 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon!

Embrace The Suck: Military slang to consciously accept or appreciate something that is extremely unpleasant.

As runners, we all need to be able to push through those difficult times during training and racing.  Pain and discomfort are inevitable.  You have to start planning for it and understand how to deal with it when it comes. In training, look for when the pain comes and take note of your thoughts. Instead of allowing your mind to go negative, “embrace the suck” and change the conversation. A good way to do that is to focus on technique, count your steps or flashback to a great memory. Do what is necessary to remain upbeat and positive.  And before you know it, your Endorphines will kick in and you’ll be on track!

Our 8-week training challenge will provide you with guidance and support to get you to the finish line.  Follow our custom training plan, track your results, be held accountable by your peers and be rewarded with custom “Embrace The Suck” BibBoard race bib fasteners.

Included with your registration:

  • “Embrace The Suck” BibBoard Race Bib Fastener ($12.95 value)
  • Custom 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon Training Plan (your choice of one)
  • Individual Mileage Tracking Page
  • Live Leaderboard
  • Milestone Badges
  • RaceJoy App Syncing
  • FREE Ask For Advice Support (training support via email)

Built for Runners, Cyclists, Triathletes & Trail Runners to keep your bib number SAFE & SECURE to your clothes without making holes, rusting, or poking your fingers. People are raving because they are convenient and reusable from event to event. And they serve as a perfect reminder on race day to Embrace The Suck!  MORE INFORMATION

CUSTOM 5K, 10K, HALF MARATHON, MARATHON TRAINING PLAN:  Our training plan is designed to get you to the finish line on race day! The 8-week program will keep you on track running/walking the appropriate mileage every week. Fully adjustable to meet your busy lifestyle.

LOGGING YOUR MILES: After registering, go to your RunSignUp profile and start logging your activities! Your miles will be displayed on a leaderboard with fellow runners taking the challenge.  You will also see your cumulative totals displayed as a percentage of your end goal.  As you move through the challenge, you will be rewarded with badges that you can proudly display to friends on your social media pages!

RACEJOY APP: RunSignUp has partnered with RaceJoy to offer participants the ability to automatically sync their miles and time to your profile page and leaderboard. Once the challenge begins, you’ll download the RaceJoy app and it will track your running, walking and biking activities. After each activity is finished, your results instantly upload to the leaderboard.

FREE…ASK FOR ADVICE SUPPORT:  We’re here to help you “embrace the suck” of training. Send us an email with your questions on training and our experienced support staff will gladly help you out!
