Independence Day Classic

The 41st Annual Independence Day Classic, hosted by the Santa Clarita Runners Club, and presented by the Heritage Sierra Medical Group is set for Friday, July 4, 2025, in Newhall. This cherished community event features a 5K Run/Walk, a Kid’s K, and a 1-Mile Masters Walk, all starting and finishing near Newhall Park at the corner of Newhall Avenue and Dalbey Drive.

The 5K course is a fast, flat, and paved route that runs along the City of Santa Clarita’s parade path, offering participants enthusiastic support from spectators. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, and participants (excluding Kid’s K) will also receive a race tech shirt.
