This year, the race will be accessible to a global audience like never before.
For nearly 40 years, thousands of spectators have witnessed the awe-inspiring IRONMAN World Championship in Hawai`i either in person, or by streaming it on IRONMAN.com. This year, with the addition of NBC and Red Bull TV, the race will reach its largest international audience ever, bringing impactful stories of courage and determination to triathlon fans worldwide.
The show will be hosted by legendary IRONMAN world champion Greg Welch (AUS) and multiple IRONMAN champion Michael Lovato (USA), and will also feature field reporters Matt Lieto (USA) and Charlie Webster (GBR). This year’s broadcast will include aerial imagery and four exclusive 30-minute Facebook Live feeds from various points on the course.
In the US
Coverage on NBCSN begins with the legendary swim course in Kailua Bay at 12:30 p.m. ET and runs until 2:00 p.m.. It wraps up with the male and female professional finishes from 8:30-10:00 p.m. ET.
Coverage will also include live check-ins throughout race day on NBC and NBCSN, and live streaming coverage on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app from 12:30 pm until 10 p.m. ET.
